Robert Half is seeking an experienced and results-driven Patient Access Manager to lead a patient access team and ensure efficient and seamless patient registration and admission processes. The Patient Access Manager will play a pivotal role in optimizing patient satisfaction, revenue cycle management, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities of the Patient Access Manager:
Lead and manage the patient access team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Oversee patient registration processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to streamline patient flow and optimize scheduling processes.
Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance the patient registration experience, minimizing wait times and ensuring a positive first impression.
Stay informed about insurance verification and authorization processes, working closely with insurance providers to validate coverage and minimize billing issues.
Manage and resolve patient concerns related to the registration and admission process, maintaining a focus on patient satisfaction.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient access, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and stay updated on changes that may impact patient access processes.
Collaborate with finance and billing teams to optimize revenue cycle management and reduce denials.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with external partners, including insurance companies and other healthcare organizations.
Conduct regular training sessions for staff to ensure awareness of best practices, compliance requirements, and customer service standards.
Implement technology solutions to enhance patient access processes, such as online registration and self-service options.
Participate in the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures related to patient access.
Prepare and analyze reports on patient access metrics, presenting findings to leadership and recommending improvements.
Travel to various office sites in Louisville, New Albany, and Shelbyville are required of the Patient Access Manager.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in healthcare administration, with a focus on patient access or registration preferred.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, insurance processes, and revenue cycle management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in healthcare information systems and patient registration software.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
