OverviewThe Department of Technology, Design, and Technical Education (TDTE) at Utah State University (USU) is seeking one full-time, dynamic, knowledgeable, and experienced candidate for a Pathways Program Coordinator at the USU Eastern Campus in Price, Utah. The Pathways Program Coordinator will plan, organize, and coordinate seamless student pathways in career and technical education from secondary education to USU Eastern, and from non-credit programs to credit programs. In addition, this position will prepare statistical and narrative reports and recommendations, and participate in the analysis and interpretation of data as appropriate. The Pathways Program Coordinator is an exempt staff position, and the estimated start date is November 1, 2023. This position reports to the TDTE Department Head, and has no supervisory responsibilities.
This position is budgeted for three (3) years, but may be longer contingent upon funding.
ResponsibilitiesThis position will provide specialized information, assistance, and support to the faculty, students, parents, local school districts (Carbon School District, Emery School District), and community partners on career and technical education pathways, including articulation. Additionally, this position will collect, evaluate, and prepare research and/or other complex statistical data. The Pathways Program Coordinator will prepare statistical and narrative reports and recommendations, and participate in the analysis and interpretation of data as appropriate. The Pathways Program Coordinator develop, maintain, and ensure quality control of databases and may assist in the development and implementation of measurement systems.
The following are specific responsibilities.
Support the goals of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act by building pathways that are relevant to the outcomes targeted by the program.In coordination with the USU Eastern and local K-12 partner institutions (Carbon School District, Emery School District), identify and map technical education pathways, certificates, and degrees, work-based learning, transfer opportunities, labor market information, and industry certifications.Build partnerships with K-12 administrators, committees, and advisory and work groups to advise and promote career and technical education pathway program goals.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, prepare program reports; compile and report outcomes of activities; demographic, and other data regarding services provided and populations served.Collects, analyzes, interprets, and summarizes data in preparation for generation of statistical and analytical reports.Develops, maintains, and ensures quality control of databases and may assist in the development and implementation of measurement systems.Designs and/or...
