　　Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking Pastry Cook Supervisor for the beautiful new Barton Creek Resort & Spa!

　　Responsible for helping pastry chef in coordinating all pastry and baking preparation for all hotel outlets.

　　Responsibilities

　　Essential Job Functions:

　　o Requisition and order properly all items needed for the weeks production.

　　o Ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed and the pastry shop is always clean, neat and orderly.

　　o Ensure all equipment is in full working order.

　　o Ensure an adequate supply of all products prepared on a timely basis.

　　o Establish standard recipes and ensure the compliance with them.

　　o Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

　　o Prioritize, organize, delegate work and follow through.

　　o To be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment.

　　o Ensure that level of quality, portion control, and plate presentation is adhered to consistently.

　　o Consistently check line plating and quality, spot check outlets to ensure SOP’s are being followed.

　　o Produce and supervise daily pastry preparation for all assigned areas including outlet pastry set up and banquets.

　　o Attend BEO (banquet event order) meeting daily, only in absence of pastry chef.

　　o Create weekly associate schedules to be approved by management.

　　Qualifications

　　Qualifications:

　　o Attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

　　o Prioritize, organize, delegate work and follow through.

　　o To be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment.

　　o Ability to instill safety and sanitation habits in all employees.

　　o Teach and mentor associates the importance of consistency in preparation and presentation.

　　o Experience in production techniques of large banquets.

　　o Ensure a superior production of sweet items, pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, fruit compotes breads, chocolates, bakery items, etc. for all outlets as well as banquets and amenities.

　　o Maintain cleanliness of work area at all times.

　　o 3-5 years minimum pastry related experience is required.

　　o 1 year minimum supervisory related job experience is required.

　　o Pastry related education is preferred but not required.

　　o Must have Texas Food Handlers certification.

　　o Keep walk-in, prep area and equipment up to Health Department standards at all time.

　　o Prepare innovating, cutting edge and appealing pastries for Resort guests.

　　Physical Requirements:

　　o Ability to stoop, grasp, lift and or carry or otherwise move or push goods on a hand cart weighing a maximum of 70 pounds.

　　o Ability to work standing up in a confined area for long periods of time in order to perform the essential functions

　　Working Environment:

　　o Interior of hotel in restaurant and kitchen areas with exposure to humidity, steam and extreme temperatures

　　o Exposure to food and beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals

　　o Exposure to food items and beverages
