Pastry Chef Summary:Are you a dessert aficionado with a passion for creating sweet masterpieces? Job Duties:
Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as cupcakes, cobblers, cookies, bread, cakes, etc. Decorating and displaying finished products.Complete duties such as adhering to food hygiene standards, coordinating bakery staff, taking charge of customer complaints, ordering ingredients and supplies, and directing various processes, from baking to decorating.Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipmentMaintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.Compensation:We are offering a weekly pay rate between $13 - 15/HR depending on experience.
**Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30am - 5pm (Saturdays may be required as needed)
Location:**This position will be located in the 77045 area of Houston, TX.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferredProven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storageRequired to obtain food safety certification(s)Demonstrates basic math and counting skillsDemonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalThis role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
