POSITION PROFILE
Under the general supervision of the sheriff and the office manager performing a variety of clerical duties to keep the office running. Duties such as answering phones, managing front office window, maintain all records created within the Duchesne County Sheriff's office and/or any other divisions under the sheriff's office from creation to destruction pursuant to the laws of Government Records Access Management Act (GRAMA). Maintain the records management system established for Duchesne County. Maintain bail receipts, monies sending bail to appropriate court within 3 business days and balance bail checkbook. Maintain good working relations with all co-workers, officers, supervisors, elected officials and the public

Answer and direct telephone calls
Communicate with customers, employees, and others to answer questions, address complaints, explain information, and take orders
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Attention to detail.Enhanced organizational skills.Advanced computer skills including MSOffice, Excel; andAbility to perform research functions using internet or database and other software programs used by the Sheriff's Office and/or Jail Facility.Ability to work under time restraints to meet official deadlines.Ability to effectively solve problems.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent;
One-year clerical experience which includes direct public contact and experience in data entry training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and
Must acquire and maintain certification Notary Public and UCJIS, Utah Criminal Investigation System as a condition of continued employment.
Bilingual Spanish desired, but not required.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION
Must have a current and valid Utah Driver License; and
Notary Public Certification.
Must be able to pass fingerprint background through UCJIS, Utah Criminal History Information System and complete raining within the first 6 months of employment and every 2 years thereafter.
