JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Cleans interior surfaces, including butnot limited to, vacuuming and extracting carpets; cleans, strips, waxesand buff floors; cleans light fixtures, furniture, walls and windows;cleans and sanitizes resident rooms and restrooms, collects and disposeswaste, sanitizes garbage cans and ensures adequate stock of supplies areon hand. Day shift, 20hrs/week, rotating weekends Essential DutiesPerforms housekeeping tasks as in: extracts carpets & upholsteredfurniture; cleans, scrubs, strips and waxes floors, scrubs and wi-waxfloors; dusts, washes, and polishes furniture, equipment and buildingsurfaces, disinfects as required. Operates various types of cleaningequipment, both mechanical and electrical, e.g. buffers, wringers,scrubbers, extractors and vacuums Cleans equipment and requests workorder for equipment needing repair. Reports safety hazards tosupervisor. Climbs ladders to reach high areas for cleaning purposesCollects and disposes of waste and recycling materials. Arrangesfurniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs Maintainsawareness of all safety and quality assurance standards and proceduresMaintains documentation as required Maintains good public relations withother departments Operates vehicles and drives responsibly.
