This position is response for inventory control in the maintenance shop,as well as receiving and storing parts, maintenance supplies, andmiscellaneous receivers while maintaining a safe work environment andadhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position will requirethe ability to work long hours at various times of the day, to includestanding, sitting, walking, lifting, and climbing.
The parts room attendant will be responsible for the following duties:
SAP Parts Database Maintenance
Maintains inventory level to be below total dollar value goal.Reorder Point (ROP) / Maximum Stock Level (MSL); recommends toMaintenance Manager what are optimal ROP and MSL amounts are foreach part.Ensures all Parts Receipts are accurately entered into the SAP database.Follows-up after Parts Crib Attendants to ensure they are using theSAP system properly.Physical Inventory of Parts
Ensures cycles counts are conducted by Parts Attendants so that allparts inventory levels are accounted for in a periodic manner.Ensures parts are organized in a logical, easy to access manner.Ensures the Parts Crib is kept neat and clean.Ensures obsolete parts are identified and recommended for removal.Ensure all parts are issued out properly.Ensure all incoming parts are received, accounted for, and storedproperly.Able to identify all parts in the crib and where they are located.Implements controls to keep the Parts Crib secure so thatunauthorized people are not allowed in.Parts Purchasing
Coordinates with Purchasing to ensure parts are ordered as needed.Requisitions parts as needed by mechanics, including non-inventoriedparts. C. Follows-up on any overdue parts to determine their statusand urgency of delivery. D. Keeps Maintenance Manager notified ofany parts which we do not have but need to have, and works toexpedite delivery of such partsPerform additionally assigned duties as needed.Requirements:
Education: High school diploma, vocational school, or equivalentpreferred, with knowledge of high school subject matter such asmathematics, grammar, office equipment and business practices.
Computer Skills: Must have computer experience, including Outlook, Word,and Excel;
must be able to enter Work Notifications and Work Orders.
Communication Skills: Must be able to speak and listen effectively,ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal with alllevels from hourly to management.
