WUPHD has an opening for a full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder Counselor, LMSW or LMSW-C in our Hancock office.
Primary Duties include assessing and treating individuals with mental, emotional, or substance use problems, including abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and/or other drugs. Activities may include individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, client advocacy, prevention, and education.
Qualifications:
A Licensed Master's in Social Work (LMSW) or Licensed Medical Social Worker - Clinical (LMSW-C) with concentration in psychology, sociology, or public health requiredSpecific training in SUD counselingAt least five years of experience working with people with problems associated with alcohol or drug use, under close supervisionCertified Alcohol and Drug Counselor preferredEmpathetic manner to deal with clients who may have multiple problemsFamiliar with electronic medical recordWUPHD offers a comprehensive benefit package including health, vision, dental, and life insurance, retirement plans, vacation, sick, personal days and paid holidays.
