The Program Monitor is responsible for the daily supervision of residents. Duties specific to the Program Monitor are: Assist clients with their daily activities Make client census rounds when not assigned activities and be aware of client whereabouts. Complete hourly tours and rounds/checks. Assist clients with leisure time activities including outdoor and indoor activity groups. Conduct regular room checks in ensure clients are maintaining a clean living environment. Monitor client behavior and log any issues in the communication log that may impede or be relative in working with the clients. Complete inter-facility reports on any strange or unusual circumstances with clients. Also used for communicating after hours. Submit reports as directed by supervisory staff and/or program policy and procedures. Ensure that activities are supervised in the absence of the clinical staff. Attend regular scheduled in-service and other appropriate training. Perform client self-medication call in absence of the medical staff. Transport residents to and from appointments or destinations (pick-up/drop-off) Support and adhere to the rules and regulations of the facility administration and referring jurisdictions. Utilizes supervisory feedback to improve performance. Sign clients in and out. Complete pat-down, bag, room, and locker searches. Maintain accurate logs including Shift Log, Work Release sign-in/sign-out Log, Visitor's Log, etc. Supervise residents in performance of assigned duties and assure the Facility is maintained in a sanitary condition. Supervise residents in their daily activities to ensure compliance with Facility rules and regulations. Report infractions of rules and regulations to the Assistant Director. Participate in Resident initial intake and orientation. Administer Alco-Sensor test and other drug/alcohol screening tests. Monitor building for safety and maintenance problems and report problems to the Maintenance Supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff. Minimum qualifications: a high school education and three years experience dealing effectively with people. Must pass background checks and pre-employment drug screen.
