POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Field Technician Support is an experiencedtechnician who can care for almost any account we have on either atemporary or permanent basis. Ability to identify and solve pestproblems in the most complicated situations, such as large food plants.
Essential Job Duties:
Ability to care for an open route, including solving existing pestproblems, updating instructions, and organizing the route for a newtechnician.
Drive company vehicle to client sites to provide services in aprofessional and safe manner
Participate fully in training opportunities to enhance knowledge; and tomeet requirements for licensing and safety standards
Work in a safe manner by adhering to OSHA, state requirements, andPlunkett\'s policies and procedures
Maintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and materials in companyvehicle to complete all work and tasks assigned
Project a professional image; is friendly, pleasant, and courteous whendealing with internal and external clients
Perform effectively with minimal direction and without directsupervision
Adapt quickly to change and work under tight deadlines
Organization of own work and completion of work on a timely basis
Communicate effectively with internal and external clients
Work as part of a team that provides \"Best in Class\" solutions andclient service
Cooperate with company management by performing any other duties asassigned
Job Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to performeach duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative ofthe knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be willing to travel up to 4 nights per week for extended periods.
Excellent written and verbal skills a must!
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Utilize application equipment (spray guns and bottles, hoses etc.),inspection equipment, and small hand tools
The ability to work extended hours and some weekends
Must have a valid driver\'s license and acceptable driving record
The ability to pass state licensing exams
Physical capability assessment, favorable drug test, and acceptablebackground record is also required
Preferred Requirements
Previous Pest Control experience preferred.
Experience working with minimum supervision; able to problem solve andkeep detailed records
Six months experience in a route management, route sales, customerservice, sales or account management position
Has experience using computer-based and mobile applications
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Communicates through telephone conversations, face-to-face interactions,texts and email
Lift/push/pull 25lbs-50lbs regularly; some routes may occasionallyrequire lifting/pushing/pulling up to 100lbs
Extensive bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reachingoverhead, climbing a ladder, working in confined spaces, walking forlong periods, and sitting for long periods
Utilize application equipment (spray guns and bottles, hoses etc.),ins ection equipment, and small hand tools
Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions; indoors and outdoorsduring seasonal weather, damp locations, and dusty locations
