The position is alsoresponsible for troubleshooting and maintaining the equipment, forordering paints and supplies and for directing paint projects throughthe department. Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions of the Job:Mix and prepare paint components to the proper ratios Maintain andoperate spray painting gun to paint parts and structures per departmentschedule. Maintain and operate gun washer. Maintain and operaterecycling still. Keeps paperwork for still including paint usage.Maintain all paint equipment to include cleaning and performing regularrequired maintenance Keep inventory of paint and paint supplies andorder inventory as necessary. Provides input into new paint proceduresand techniques. Helps in training new employees to the department.Prepare parts for painting including washing and taping, and loading JobRequirements: Requires education generally equivalent to a High SchoolDiploma. Preferred 1-3 years of relevant painting experience. Requiresmathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiplyand divide and calculate ratios. Requires good oral and writtencommunication skills in order to interact with employees. Must be ableto collaborate with others (including in person) to proactively developsolutions. Primary Waste Handler Ability to safely handle, store, label,and dispose of all hazardous waste streams. Able to keep accuraterecords of waste material handled. Able to conduct weekly inspections ofall waste handling equipment to ensure safe operation of wasteoperations. Able to properly label and manage hazardous waste containersin the 90-day accumulation and satellite accumulation areas. Able tosafely and properly load/unload incoming raw materials and wastematerials. Notifies other plant authorities, as necessary, in emergencysituations. Able to complete hazardous waste manifests. PhysicalRequirements: Protective Clothing Required: The incumbent will utilizegloves, a Tyvek suit and an air-assisted hood, respirator, safety shoes,safety glasses and hearing protection as needed while performing workassignments.
