All aspects of business accounting – Research, analysis, reporting, bookkeeping, AR, AP, general ledger, administration of quarterly business and payroll taxes, interface with CPA firm, and external audits.
Banking - multiple bank deposits, loan tracking, reporting and interfacing with banking authorities.
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed
Will be creating reports but the system generates them easily (accurate inputs)
Prepare and process weekly payroll including prevailing wage reports
Payroll only in MN, about 15 weekly and 10 semi-monthly. 25 total employees - (Payroll is pre-entered into a spread sheet by others and then entered into payroll by the FCB)
Human Resources – Responsible for implementation of HR/Employee programs, interpreting policies and human resource functions.
Process new employees; documentation, orientation, EEOC, E-Verify, State new hire
Maintaining and interpreting company policies and manuals in relation to HR and accounting.
Worker’s compensation – reporting, recording and monitoring
Employee benefits research, recommendations, tracking, processing and reporting – medical, 401(k), dental, COBRA, etc.
Maintain required business documents
Prepare annual W-2 & 1099’s
Direct dealings with insurance company – vehicles, equipment, building, worker’s comp; claims and payment.
Assistance with the annual budget
Compile annual reports required for CPA
Maintain financial document retention files
Deposit and cash reports
Prepare and/or review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure
Manage filing, maintaining, renewing and reporting requirements of all business licensing in various states
Monthly sales tax reporting
Aid in the collections process
Breakdown of the role:
Mon/Tues - Main focus is on payroll (Both hourly and salary)
Wed/Thurs/Fri - Tax filing, bank recs, check deposits daily,
AP/ AR duties, etc.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related
No degree needed if more than 10+ years of experience
3+ years of full cycle accounting experience
Prior experience in construction
Prior ERP experience
