　　Job Description

　　This position carries the responsibility of overseeing non-culinary kitchen operations, including but not limited to programs related to dishwashing, cleaning, and small equipment maintenance and ordering. In addition, the Steward Supervisor assists the front of the house by supplying and keeping inventory of all China, glassware and silver related to food service.

　　ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

　　Take over Manager’s functions during his /her absence.

　　Supervise that all the nighttime functions are cleaned afterwards, and that all china/glass/silver is properly sanitized and stored.

　　Assists manager in the training of steward and night cleaners, including proper ware-washing procedures and handle in of food and equipment in accordance to California Department of sanitation laws.

　　Supervise the entire stewarding department, kitchen and night cleaners in absence of the manager.

　　Responsible for all proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment in the outlet kitchens Inn place and food production and storage areas.

　　Maintain cleanliness of all floors mats, ovens, vents, and kitchen equipment throughout the back of house.

　　Proper use and storage of all chemicals that are use throughout the night.

　　Ability to follow special task also deep cleaning in different areas assigned.

　　Make sure that all teams have the proper cleaning supplies and equipment needed to complete their work.

　　To do a walk through the kitchen area and the spa before the end of the shift to monitor all work assigned has been completed.

　　To  make sure that all areas that need to be secured are locked if not notify security

　　Hourly rate of $23.00 plus an overnight $1 premium. 

　　Qualifications

　　Previous F & B experience preferred.

　　Previous hotel experience preferred.

　　Bilingual, Spanish/English preferred.

　　EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

　　High School diploma

　　College degree preferred

　　REASONING ABILITY

　　Able to think clearly and make reasonable decisions.

　　Ability to identify potential operating problems and/or sanitation issues.

　　Ability to develop and implement procedures for preventing problems before they develop.

　　Valid California Drivers License
