To interview clients to determine their level of knowledge,attitudes, and behavior regarding HIV, Hepatitis C, STIs, and harmreduction. Collect finger-stick blood samples from patients and followuniversal precautions. Screens clients for eligibility for the SAMHSAproject and enroll clients using the GPRA form. Assess potentialbarriers to care and work with clients to reduce obstacles resultingfrom lack of transportation, mental illness, substance use, etc. Linkclients to medical care and MAT treatment. Follow-up with clients andcollect client data 6 months after enrollment. Develop appropriateclient referrals internally and externally to the organization. Collectdata on program activities, enter data timely, and accurately into datasystems. Conduct outreach in the community setting and buildrelationships with local venues. Attend relevant trainings andparticipate in reginal meeting assigned. Stay informed about currentHIV/HCV/STI trends, development, and research. Experience and Skills:Education & Experience High School graduate with two years of full-timeexperience in the field of health care, medical care or public healtheducation in a recognized hospital, medical facility, or agency. Abilityto work some evenings and weekends as needed. Sensitivity to HIV issuesand people with disabilities required. Must be open to working withpeople from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles in anon-judgmental manner.
