Job Summary:The Outpatient Pharmacy Coordinator is the pharmacist-in-charge andmanaging pharmacist per the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board whooversees daily operations and successful performance in the assignedlocation. The pharmacist performs a combination of clinical anddistributive pharmacy services necessary for the provision ofpharmaceutical care to each patient. To accomplish this objective, thepharmacist-in-charge shall provide supervision and guidance to pharmacyteam members in the assigned location. The pharmacist will participatein handling on-call responsibilities, including the management of sickcalls. The pharmacist shall collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to proactively identify and address opportunities to optimizedrug therapy. In conjunction with the Froedtert mission focusing oncustomer safety, service, confidentiality, education, and world classexcellence; the pharmacist assures that patient care is maintainedthrough compliance with the department\'s quality improvementinitiatives and other medication management regulatory standardsestablished by The Joint Commission, Center for Medicare/MedicaidServices, URAC, and others. The pharmacist maintains accountability forother duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of one yearof retail pharmacy experience is required. A minimum of three years ofother pharmacy experience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:Bachelor\'s degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE certified school of pharmacyor a Pharm. D. is required. Successful completion of ASHP CommunityPharmacy Practice or Specialty Residency is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLSDESCRIPTION: Demonstrates effective use of computers and applications(e.g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook) as appropriate to practice andcommunicate effectively.
