Job Summary:
The Regional Business Program Manager in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the clinical and business activities across the Northern markets (Longmont, Broomfield, and Boulder), while ensuring compliance with all internal and external policies and procedures. This position will oversee the fiscal affairs, human resources, and day-to-day operations in support of the mission and goals of their assigned region and providers, the Department and the School. Currently the position does not have supervisory responsibilities although that is subject to change.
Primary duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Monthly review of P&L statements and revenue cycle reports at the individual provider, site, and regional levels. Accountable for understanding mechanics of department financial model to support growth and overall profitability of the region.
Partner with clinic operations teams to monitor provider performance on operational metrics, including but not limited to patient access and productivity.
Budgeting and year-end reconciliation of provider incentive process.
Work with CU Medicine on billing, claims, appeals, and related reporting for all assigned providers.
Develop a deep understanding of the physician and healthcare landscape in the region; assist in identifying market opportunities for growth.
Propose and evaluate new services and programs for region; support proposals from evaluation to implementation as appropriate.
Business planning and recruitment of new providers, including developing financial projections, supporting implementation and hiring, and tracking ongoing performance to plan.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
At least two (2) years relevant experience
Substitution : Professional, progressive responsible personnel and/or financial management experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters or higher earned degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Finance.
Fiscal management experience in a healthcare setting, which includes the development/management of operating and capital budgets, payroll, purchasing, travel and the review of financial statements, as well as cFTE and wRVU productivity.
Healthcare operations and/or physician practice management experience.

Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
Strong problem solving and analytics skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established as $71,175-$90,535
The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level.
