The Job
The customers Hartwig distributes CNC Machines Tools to are in a variety of industries and rely on us to get them the parts they need to keep their machines running optimally. An Order Coordinator provides a best in class customer experience to both internal and external customers, giving excellent communication regarding lead-times and shipments of CNC machine tool parts in order to expedite delivery to customers.
The ideal candidateshould be tenacious but charismatic and have technical background (worked on large machinery, an administrative position that supports manufacturing). Ability to positively and calmly work with various personality types and customers who are pushing to have the parts they need to start production again. Need to manage priority orders while managing the pressure from others to handle theirs.
Main responsibilities of this full-time position based in the St. Louis office (this is not a remote position) include:
Expedite all machine parts orders, with down machine orders being priority, and provide timely updates to the Hartwig service and customer care team and customers, providing tracking numbers when items shipProactively identify issues with parts order lead times, facilitate, and elevate as neededProvide regular communication to customers on orders with long lead-timesOffer customers the assistance of our service team to install parts that have shipped when service has not been involved. Communicate to all parties involved.Provide better visibility to the timing of parts shipments to both our service team and our customers by communicating on a regular basisResearch 3rd party alternatives for long lead time parts when OEM items are not readilyDevelop strong relationships with internal customers and original equipment manufacturer (OEM)The Skills
Knowledge of how the parts and service roles operate and interact, have the technical skills to allow for finding other solutionsExcellent communication and organization skills, strong interpersonal communication skills and customer relationship building skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks concurrently and strong time management skillsAbility to work independently and with a teamWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systemsExcellent attention to detail and follow throughExperience in expediting is a plus.The Organization, The Team and Our Benefits
