Description

　　Summary:

　　Manages, selects and prepares equipment for inpatient operating room surgical procedures.

　　Work Schedule: Full Time Days

　　Responsibilities:

　　Follows surgical schedule, completes conflict checks, provides tracking and preparation of equipment, and maintains record of inventory and repairs. Reports equipment issues to charge nurse and Service Specialists.

　　Resolves issues involving OR equipment. Locates and provides additional equipment as needed. Tracks gaps in equipment availability and works with management to determine needs.

　　Organizes the equipment and positioning room, stores unused equipment, and cleans equipment after use. Assists in cleaning operating rooms as needed.

　　Educates staff on equipment locations and identification.

　　Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

　　Minimum Required Education:

　　High School diploma or GED.

　　Preferred: Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology.

　　Required Licensure/Certification:

　　None required.

　　Preferred: Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST).

　　Minimum Experience

　　None required.The pay range for this position is: $19.67 - $25.57 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
