FOREST CAPITAL MUSEUM STATE PARK
This position will largely be responsible for landscape, maintenance, and visitor contact duties at Forest Capital Museum. This position will work with the Park Services Specialist to open and close the park and ensure park facilities are clean, neat, and safe. The selected candidate must be comfortable answering visitor inquiries related to the Park’s cultural and historical significance. This is an OPS position that will be scheduled for up to 29 hours per week.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, hard-working individual, to fill a Park Attendant position at Forest Capital Museum State Park. This position is centered on the day to day park operations. The successful candidate will be required to perform various duties including the following: park maintenance, grounds keeping, park protection, visitor services. This is a part time, temporary position working 29 hours per week. The selected candidate will be required to work rotating shifts to include holidays and weekends. This position does not include health benefits or paid leave. Opportunities will exist for additional training and experience.
VISITOR SERVICES/VISITOR EDUCATION - Explains facilities and services provided for public use, enjoyment and education; meets visitors, answers questions, provides information and directions. Attempts to resolve visitor complaints while maintaining good public relations.
MAINTENANCE - Maintains cleanliness of grounds and facilities. Lawn care. Experience in some basic maintenance skills is preferred.
PROTECTION – Seeks voluntary compliance from visitors to ensure park rules are followed pertaining to all natural, historical and archaeological facilities and resources and use thereof for enjoyment of the visitor.
Performs related work as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license.
