  This position requires you to work on site at one of our facilities located throughout Broward County.

  This is an OPS (Other Personal Services) positions and as such no paid time off is offered. Health benefits will be offered for full-time employment. OPS employees are eligible to participate in a deferred compensation plan.

  POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  This OPS position is for a Linkage to and Retention in Care-Part C Coordinator, Government Operations Consultant IV, working on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Overdose Data to Action Local (OD2A-L): Limiting Overdose through Collaborative Actions in Localities OD2A-L grant at the Florida Department of Health in Broward County. This position requires advanced skills in the analysis and reporting of linkage to and retention in care data, integrating, and using data to inform decision making, and community partnership building. Ensuring persons with substance use disorders are linked to evidence-based treatment is critical for overdose prevention. This position is responsible for establishing and coordinating a system to track linkage to and retention in care indictors for substance use disorder.

  Create or enhance systems to collect and submit standardized data on linkage to and retention in care among persons with a substance use disorder.

  Inform efforts to understand and reduce inequities in linkage to and retention in care.

  Develop processes and systems that enable collection of individual level data on linkage to and retention in care.

  Analyze and submit data on linkage to and retention in care.

  Disseminate data on linkage to and retention in care.

  Works collaboratively with OD2A-L funded community partners to establish systems to track and report linkage to and retention in care data.

  Coordinates partner meetings on linkage to and retention in care.

  Identifies gaps in linkage to and retention in care and which populations are most impacted by lack of access.

  Presents data at a variety of community meetings to inform decision making related to overdose prevention strategies.

  Contributes to the development and dissemination of local level opioid-related reports to public health partners. Presents data in both written and oral format to various audiences, provides data for overdose related data requests, and develops county-specific fact sheets and/or data visualizations based on linkage to and retention in care surveillance data.

  Responsible for reporting linkage to and retention in care surveillance data to the CDC.

  Participates in a required CDC workgroup that will discuss issues related to feasibility of collecting linkage to care data, data dissemination, and collaborate on updating guidance for reporting.

  Ensures accurate and timely submission of Employee Activity Records, Employee Leave and Attendance Records and travel vouchers.

  Performs other related duties as assigned.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  Willing to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs shelter, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.

  Possess a valid driver’s license free of major infractions, and access to a reliable automobile to be utilized for work purposes.

  Have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in physical science, biology, toxicology, or forensic science or other related field.

  Have two (2) or more years of public speaking experience.

  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  Have two (2) or more years of data analysis experience.

  Have two (2) or more years of experience writing data reports.

  Have two (2) or more years of experience working as a project coordinator with external partners.
