　　Our Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) is an 18-bed unit caring for patients with critical medical and/or surgical care. Specialized training includes CORE EKG classes, Intra-Balloon Pump, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, Ventilator/Respiratory class, and Peritoneal Dialysis. We encourage and participate in the NICHE program for our geriatric population. We incorporate a primary care nursing model with a team approach to meet the needs of the patient population.

　　Therapeutic critical care and med/surgical nursing interventions

　　Patient education, goal setting, critical thinking and care planning.

　　Care for and provide treatment modalities.

　　Collaborative team approach: SNAP rounds daily.

　　Vent rounds with interdisciplinary team

　　Clinical Service standards of care and practice.

　　Utilizing the Nursing Process, plans, directs and supervises the care of patients in addition to being involved in the provision of direct care of patients and families.

　　Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
