As an Operations manager, you will contribute to the accuracy of our projects, operations, budgets and overall company goals. This position is ideal for someone in Finance and/or Business Operations to be a part of a company that positively impacts communities through building design. Responsibilities: Team: Lead, manage and train the operations team staff. Provide guidance, coaching, and training to develop their skills and ensure accurate and timely project completion. Provide leadership and guidance to the operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence. Support the professional development of team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. Business Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of the organization's overall business model, objectives, and key performance indicators. Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact operations. Cross Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to gain insights into their operations and objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, estimators, engineers, to gather financial data, support decision-making, and achieve project goals. Foster effective communication channels to ensure a seamless flow of information across the organization. Operational Efficiency: Understand the factors impacting project costs, identifying, and addressing any discrepancies. Proactively identify challenges within operational processes and develop innovative solutions to address them. Elevate awareness of operational efficiencies and financial implications for timely resolution. Implement process improvements and best practices to streamline financial operations and enhance overall effectiveness. Analysis: Review and analyze project budgets ensuring conformity with contract terms. Assist in preparing monthly projections, addressing potential cost issues affecting forecasted costs and profitability. Manage project cost accounting activities, including tracking, and analyzing project costs, revenue recognition, and profitability. Review and analyze project financial data, including labor, materials, subcontractor expenses, change orders, and other project-related costs. Provide accurate and timely reporting to management. Assist with annual and special audits as necessary. Enhanced management reporting Supervise receivables processing to optimize project cash flow.
