　　Principle Accountabilities:

　　Maintain a safe work environment, and high morale within the department.

　　Ability to operate a sit-down forklift and all machinery within the department.

　　Responsible for training all the positions on the shift.

　　Document PIT and machine training.

　　Follow all SOP's for Safety, Quality and the Shipping Process.

　　Maintain quality and efficient operations within the department. Communicate expectations and standards to crew. Assist crew as necessary.

　　Generate bills of lading, verifying tallies and bills.

　　Plan loads and routes to maximize cost efficiency and to meet customer needs.

　　Communicate with drivers reporting for loads, freight companies, the Customer Service department, and occasionally interact with customers directly.

　　Communicate with supervision in the production departments to ensure efficient product flow throughout the plant.

　　Keep the Shipping Manager informed of any ongoing problems or situations that may affect the overall operation of the department.

　　Comply with all company policies and procedures.

　　Additional duties may be assigned by management.

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　High School Graduate or GED.

　　3 years’ work experience as a Forklift Operator.

　　2 year’s work experience as a Supervisor.

　　Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.

　　Available to work any shift: first, second or third, as needed.

　　Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

　　Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Corrugated industry experience.
