Responsibilities:
Identifying and delivering strategic operations improvement projects
Managing a portfolio of continuous improvement projects in operations, delivering significant financial savings
Establishing a management system and culture to drive continuous improvement and best practice across operations
Directing and supporting the efforts of industrial engineers in the respective factories
Providing on-going visibility of financial savings and performance improvements in operations to the regional Exco
Customer satisfaction: Continuous improvement projects implemented with the customer in mind
Visibility of operational performance: Performance is visible, up to date and reported appropriately
Project outcomes: Identification and execution of improvement projects on time and to business case objectives
Regional Operational Excellence score: Meaningful YoY improvement required
Financial impact: Delivery of significant savings in operational cost (Material, Labour, Distribution and production overheads)
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum: B. Sc / B. Eng. in Engineering
Preferred: Lean Six Sigma certification / accreditation
Min 5 years’ experience in continuous improvement role
Project Management
Manufacturing financials (projects, products, processes and operating budgets)
Process optimisation and efficiency improvements
New product implementation and product improvements
Equipment and plant design and upgrade projects
Lean manufacturing deployment
Robotics and automation
Preferred:
Electronics manufacturing industry
Mechanical product manufacturing industry
