Job Title: Agile Champion II
Location: Round Lake, IL
About the role:
This role is a 2 to 3 year assignment to lead and champion Takeda’s eAGILE (continuous improvement and transformational) program for operational excellence. This involves working with assigned functional areas to identify operational constraints, build operational skills and capabilities, and plan and deploy elements of the AGILE Operating System (AOS) comprised of Lean and Six Sigma elements.
How you will contribute:
Build expertise in the AGILE Operating Elements (Lean and Six Sigma).
Successfully lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives that support business continuity and enable transformation.
Deliver the eAGILE program at the site and within functions realizing business improvements and engaging all employees.
Coach colleagues across all levels of the organization in eAGILE program elements, workstreams, Lean and Six Sigma deployments
Participate in eAGILE Community of Practice (COP), providing best practices to the network.
Be a champion of change at site and within functions.
Use eAGILE methods and tools to drive the site to achieve its transformational (breakthrough) objectives faster.
Contribute to the strategy deployment process at site/function to understand strategy and support translation into AGILE activities in roadmap.
Responsible for the delivery of the eAGILE roadmap for the site and specifically AOS roadmap by leading assigned initiatives and eAGILE projects.
Coach AGILE concepts and mindsets and behaviors across the organization, including Senior Leadership.
Facilitate in site/functional workshops to improve coaching capabilities.
Connect and collaborate with global, regional and OpU groups to bring best known methods to the site and to share our best practices with others.
Develop the ability to coach (build capabilities in others) in one or more elements of the AOS (Lean and Six Sigma).
Become ‘approved’ by Global OE to deliver workshops and lead implementations.
Become a role model in AGILE mindset, champion change and demonstrate key skills, particularly in root-cause problem solving, 5S, Standard Work, Visual systems and Leader Standard Work.
Further advance capabilities in AGILE as detailed in AGILE Champion certification document.
Advanced PC skills such as MS Office, Visio, process mapping software, Minitab or other statistical tools.
Advance Microsoft Excel skills, Power Bi, and Power Apps are highly desirable.
Passion for challenging the status quo and relentlessly trying to improve operations.
Open to doing things differently and have a track record of taking concepts and implementing locally.
Strong negotiation, influence, consultation, and facilitation skills.
Clearly demonstrates structured, logical, critical, and analytical thinking.

Must have strong organizational and project management abilities along with knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement approaches.
Must be able to train others and work with employees on all levels. Must be able to work extended hours and various shifts.
What you bring to Takeda:
Bachelors' Degree in science, engineering or other related technical field and 3+ years of related experience. Some leadership experience preferred. Background in operational excellence, continuous improvement, Lean, preferred.
Six Sigma Green Belt (minimum) or Six Sigma Black Belt certification a plus.

Important Considerations
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:
In general, the position requires a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions of the facility.
Indoor working conditions.
On site position.
General office environment with air conditioning and heating.
May work around moving equipment and machinery.
May be required to work in confined spaces/areas.
Some Clean Room and/or cool/hot storage conditions.
Will need to walk from building to building through outside “rain or shine.”
May work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
Will need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
May work in a cold, hot or wet environment.
May work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
Must be able to work on site on multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation as needed.
Must be able to work non-traditional work hours, including weekends, as needed.
Requires flexibility to conduct activities in support of different shifts as needed.
Ability to travel up to 20%.
