PostedNovember 04, 2022Open Rank, Tenure-Track or Tenured Faculty Position in Biomedical and Health InformaticsApplications are sought for an open rank tenure-track/tenured faculty position in the area of Biomedical and Health Informatics (BHI) in the department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences (PQHS). Exceptional faculty candidates at any career stage are sought to develop, implement, and sustain an active forward-looking research agenda. Candidates must have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree with expertise in any area related to BHI and should have a strong scholarly record with funding commensurate with experience and rank. Individual and collaborative research are both highly valued and are supported in a uniquely interdisciplinary department. Experience in the following domains are of particular interest: Electronic Health Records (EHRs), learning healthcare systems, big data analytics, natural language processing, data science, artificial intelligence (including machine learning and neural networks), and spatial data analytics. Collaborations are available and encouraged across multiple research centers/institutes (the Cleveland Institute for Computational Biology (), the Comprehensive Cancer Center (https://case.edu/cancer/), the Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative (CTSC,), and the GIS Health & Hazards Lab (). Faculty work closely with our internationally renowned affiliated hospital systems, including the Cleveland Clinic, the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, the Veteran Affairs of Cleveland, and MetroHealth Medical Center.CWRU has a fast growing BHI educational program that includes PhD, MS, and certificate programs. The opportunity to serve as the Director of the BHI MS program is available depending on the qualifications and interest of the candidate.
