The Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine features modern researchand animal care facilities. The faculty and staff provide broad publicengagement through operation of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, aregional primary and referral care center for the delivery ofstate-of-the art veterinary medical services. Qualifications: A DVM degree (or equivalent) and residency trainingapproved by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) or theEuropean College of Veterinary Dermatology (ECVD) are required.Preference will be given to candidates that are a Diplomate of the ACVDor ECVD and/or have a record of excellence in teaching, clinical serviceand/or scholarly productivity. Strong communication and interpersonalskills and a desire to train professional and graduate students areessential.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities are to provide clinicalteaching and service in veterinary dermatology, contribute to theinstruction of veterinary students, interns, residents and graduatestudents. Assisting in establishing a strong rapport with clients andreferring veterinarians is expected. Opportunities are abundant toparticipate in relevant research. Teaching responsibilities will includedidactic, small group and laboratory instruction. Allocation of timeamong clinical service, instruction, and research activities will bedependent upon the candidate\'s experience and academic interests.
