Accounts Receivable---Insurance (software is Office MD-Isalus)
Daily monitoring of all claims for all service locations awaiting payment using Isalus tracking features with special attention to denials, zero paysMonitor claim status thru website portals; otherwise, call insurance company's provider servicesFor any denied or rejected claims, ascertain next action: corrected claim, reprocessing, appealDocument all pending or finalized claim electronically in IsalusLater expanded to encompass:
Medical Billing Claims Submission/Corrections/Appeals/Disputes/Reconsiderations
Submit either electronic or paper claims, originals and resubmissions, to correct payerVerify eligibility and benefits before submitting claims using Isalus software eligibility module and/or irrelevant payer portalRecord patient payments as attached to claim before submittingVerify if claim requires submission to secondary payer and attach documentation of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from primary payer
Other responsibilities to be transitioned as time goes on:
Bookkeeping general ledger on QuickBooksBookkeeping sub ledger on IsalusAccounts payable/accounts receivable (from patients)Monthly profit and loss analysis reporting to business ownersBanking: daily monitoring and recordingPayroll processing through PaychexRegulatory agency registrations and renewalsFront desk reception responsibilitieshours: 20 per week, flexible, Monday through Friday
