  About the job:

  In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the APRN - NP Specialty provides primary or acute healthcare services for specialty health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

  This is a position in the field serving hospice and community based palliative care patients.

  What we are looking for:

  Education: Masters required in Science, Nursing or Specialty field. Graduate of an Advanced Practitioner program.

  Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio

  Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in designated specialty required. American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is preferred

  BLS provider certification required

  ACLS, NRP, EFM and PALs required for some departments (see Exhibit A)

  Holds a DEA license for controlled substances or ability to obtain as required

  All qualifications above are subject to grandfathering by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

  Experience: Minimum of two years recent and relevant APRN experience preferred

  Effective Communication Skills

  Promotes and supports research activities in their area of clinical expertise

  Valid Driver's license
