The successful candidate will support patient care from the point of admission to discharge. Duties include managing all pre-operative and post-operative patients within Hartford Hospital, performing H&P, assessing and documenting patient progress, participating in attending rounds, collaborating with a variety of consultants and specialties, and engaging in independent decision-making. This position requires management of emergency situation, care of a variety of cardiac surgical patients including all types of Durable Cardiac Assist Devices and heart transplants. The 9 bed Surgical Step Down includes patients who have high acuity and complexity.
