What You Will Do: The Advance Practice Provider (NursePractitioner or Physician Assistant) in Pulmonary Critical Care works incollaboration with the physician team to manage care for patients in theIntensive Care Unit. Evaluates, admits, and consults on patientsadmitted to the ICU in partnership and collaboration with the physicianteam. Orders, interprets, and documents results of clinical tests andformulates therapeutic plans and recommendations. Intervenes in acuteclinical situations as appropriate and commensurate with training andexperience. Acts as care liaison between patient, family, and allproviders involved in the care of the patient.
