Other shifts as assigned.Job SummaryThe Nurse Clinical Research II will integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical experience in the evaluations and treatments of study subjects along with the attending physician and/or Principal Investigator. This position will function in a team lead role, and use their knowledge of nursing practice and ability to comprehend significant elements based upon previous experience.Essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to, assist with identification and recruitment of research patients, as well as assess, plan, implement and evaluate research related activities while understanding patient medical problems.Data management and documentation related to research subjects and studies will also be important job functions, and this position will ensure the study maintains documentation, and that appropriate team review, ethical approval and study activation is undertaken before patient recruitment begins. Furthermore, this position will evaluate completed case report forms and documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance to protocol.The successful candidate will be expected to ensure compliance with University of Kentucky policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations.
