DescriptionLakeside 60 is a 21 bed Telemetry unit that specializes in complex medically acute patients and infectious disease (ID). Our patients are admitted from, outside hospitals or the ED. We also receive a significant number of patients from the MICU.LK60 is a great unit for new grads to build the foundation of their nursing career. We care for a wide variety of diagnosis. Our patient populations helps develop strong assessment skills, critical thinking skills and exposure to a variety of nursing procedures. LK60 has developed some very strong nurses who have continued their careers in the ICU, Women's Health and Pediatrics.Description Section:Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
