Technician I Gas Storage
PGL, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Technician I Gas Storage in our Fisher, Illinois location.
Job Summary
The entry level Technician I works under general supervision to support the maintenance of gas measurement equipment, system safety, electronic and pneumatic control and LNG equipment. Maintains AutoCAD drawings. Works with PLC programs and human machine interface screens for computer controlled equipment. Works on medium voltage (up to 2400V) equipment. Performs measurement and maintenance work on cathodic protection equipment.
The Technician I Gas Storage is part of the (Technician I Gas Storage, Technician II Gas Storage, Technician III Gas Storage) job family and experience will be the determining factor.
Job Responsibilities
Conducts preventative and corrective maintenance on telemetry equipment, electronic and pneumatic instrumentation, pressure control equipment, cathodic protection and electrical power equipment.
Installs and commissions new equipment.
Assists with any special electronic related measurement, control and pressure regulation projects for underground storage and the LNG Plant.
Learn and provides operation and maintenance support.
Advises management and operating personnel of recommended changes or upgrades of equipment and procedures that promote safety, efficiencies or increase accuracy of measurement and regulation facilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Technician I Gas Storage:
Associates Degree Preferred (Field of study: Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronic Measurement and Control or related fields)
1+ years Electronic measuring equipment and communication devices.
1+ years Understanding engineering drawings/drafting standards and practices.
3+ years Basic PC skills with understanding of spreadsheets, word processing and internet browsers.
Technician II Gas Storage:
Associates Degree Preferred (Field of study: Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronic Measurement and Control or related fields)
3+ years of basic PC skills, understanding of spreadsheets, word processing and internet browsers.
3+ years of electronic measuring equipment and communication devices.
3+ years of understanding engineering drawings/drafting standards and practices.
3+ years of informal presentations on how electronic equipment should be operated, as well as the status of projects or on issues to others in the same workgroup including peers, supervisors and engineers.
Vendor interaction to include communicating with vendors in person, on the phone, or via email.
Interacting with vendors while troubleshooting a problem with a piece of equipment; less frequently while researching for new equipment to address a particular need.
Technician III Gas Storage:
Associates Degree Preferred (Field of study: Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronic Measurement and Control or related fields)
5 + years of basic PC skills, understanding of spreadsheets, word processing and internet browsers.
5+ years of electronic measuring equipment and communication devices.
5+ years of understanding engineering drawings/drafting standards and practices, formal presentations, vendor interaction.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in an industrial facility End Date: 02/05/2024
