Description
Astronics Advanced Electrical Systems is seeking a Network Systems Administrator 1 to join our cohesive and collaborative Information Technology Team in Kirkland, WA .
POSITION SUMMARY
Overall responsibility consists of trouble shooting support for the following systems: local and wide area networks, ERP application, e-mail, internet access, time and attendance, office automation, backup systems, telecommunication systems, meeting rooms and display boards.
A person in this position is an entry-level technical contributor with some training in the area of IP data networks, computing systems, communications, security protocols, and related hardware/software.
An employee must have the ability to quickly learn and grow in technical expertise and a willingness to work under the detailed direction of a more experienced network systems administrator.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
User administration for Astronics network and applications.
Ensures computing and network infrastructure environment is secure according to established procedures.
Is responsible for monitoring performance of selected networks and servers to identify potential problems and bottlenecks.
Assist with maintaining all backup procedures and records for all property data and systems.
Assists in the development and maintenance of standards and procedures for system security for all applicable systems to minimize potential exposure/risk.
Ensure that all use of IT resources conform to all Federal and state laws and that all software is legally owned by or licensed to the business.
Maintain all inventory of the IT systems, software, and hardware.
Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
System Administrator identify problems in the system, anticipate potential issues and repair systems and software when necessary.
Provide tier 3 escalation support to help desk support.
Must be able to think logically and analytically and make decisions based on good judgment.
Assist the information technology team for cybersecurity investigation and reporting.
Demonstrated experience in the design, planning and execution of technology infrastructures preferred.
Experience in change management and knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, clients and business partners desired.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Certificate desired
Demonstrates familiarity, typically ≈ one year of direct experience in the duties and responsibilities of the position.
EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible .

Network Systems Administrator 1 Base Salary is $56,173 - $84,260 per year.
