　　Job Summary:

　　The Procurement Intern will be responsible for assisting the Procurement Team in meeting both departmental and corporate objectives. The individual will have the opportunity to become an instrumental part of the daily purchasing of goods and services, including but not limited to, reporting, analytics, purchase order creation and maintenance, and sourcing. MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and Deltek Costpoint will be utilized on a daily basis. The Procurement intern will interface with many levels of management in multiple departments and across Akima and its family of companies.

　　Job Responsibilities:

　　Assists Procurement Team on a daily basis.

　　Assists in the development of process and procedure documents.

　　Creates and issues requests for quotes and purchase orders.

　　Develops and negotiates various types of vendor and Subcontractor Agreements.

　　Develops award files to meet with company and Government policies and regulations.

　　Assesses risks and initiates actions to mitigate risks at all phases of subcontract formation, performance and close-out.

　　Monitors subcontractor performance and initiates corrective action if performance falters; executes contract modifications in response to changing requirements; and performs close-out activities.

　　Performs data collection, maintenance of the procurement files, and reporting.

　　Attends meetings and trainings as appropriate.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student.

　　Willingness to work in a team environment.

　　Basic to Intermediate knowledge of the MS Office Suite.

　　Ability to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.

　　Desire to learn about purchasing in a federal environment.

　　Must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in “NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.”
