Scope:MRI Technologist responsibilities:Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians inthe diagnosis and treatments of pathologies.Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the principals and physics ofmagnetic resonance imaging.Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete the exam.Receive patients, explain method of examination, and position patient,perform IV puncture, and administer IV contrast agent when indicated.Independently perform and complete routine examinations.Meet the needs of the patient, family and multi-disciplinary team througheffective communication, coordination and documentation ensuring safety,care, courtesy and efficiency.Actively participate in quality initiatives to ensure the highest level ofpatient satisfaction, highest level of patient care and workflow efficiencies.Requirements:Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; orone-year minimum related experience and/or training, requiredCurrent ARRT (R) (MR) or NMTCB registry, requiredCurrent BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, requiredAbility to interact with people of all ages, requiredAt least one (1) year of experience as a MRI Technologist in a hospitalenvironment, highly preferred
