Summary of Role:
Specifically this engineer will interface with RF circuit design teamsall over the world to develop 2d and 3d mmWave schematic and simulationtools to design custom test boards to test their mmWave radar and RFtransceivers. They will be a part of an experienced mmWave testdevelopment group responsible for the development of mmWave testsolutions for custom RF IC\'s fabricated in GF\'s technologies and usedin the auto, space and consumer mmWave transceiver market place.
Essential Responsibilities: Use system design tools like CadenceAllegro to create schematics for mmWave Test boards
Use 2d and 3 d mmWave simulation tools like ADS and HFSS to verifyRF board designsLeverage the latest in mmWave components, cables and assemblies todesign custom RF measurement circuitsInterface with external customers to understand RF test requirementsand characterize next generation RF ICs.Program custom hardware on state of the art manufacturing testequipment.Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and supportall Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, andprograms.Analyze RF electrical data to understand test accuracy, stabilityand repeatability.Use mmWave bench equipment to debug custom designed RF test boards.Required Qualifications:
Education - MSEE, PhdEE or Phd Physics in mmWave design or a relatedfield.Experience - 0 to 4 years experience in mmWave RF system level or IClevel design, test or characterization.Skills in mmWave simulation, RF circuit debug, data analysis.Fluency in C++, Java or python programmingTravel - Up to 10%/yearFluency in English Language - written & verbal.Physical Capacity Demands - ability to use RF lab equipment such asscopes, spectrum anaylzers and network analyzers to probe RF boardlevel circuit boards.Ability get to work every day, on site at the Burlington VermontmmWave development lab in Essex junction Vermont.Preferred Qualifications
Education - Phd EE in mmWave System level design.Experience - Hands on experience debugging board level electronicsSkills - Experience using Solid works and 3d printing4 years experience in Java programmingProject management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate andexecute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong planning & organizational skills.Expected Salary Range
\$70,700.00 - \$187,900.00
