Your Role:
Responsibilities of this position will include; interpretation of federal, state and local agency regulations, analysis, oversight and review of project work products, including site specific technical data, calculations, technical reports, construction plans, cost estimates, environmental permit applications and permit terms and conditions. These responsibilities will be applied to the Civil, environmental and solid waste industries. Some on-site work and travel may be required. The position will also involve building client relations, support of new client business development activities including proposals, as well as, help with cross selling.
Plan, develop, coordinate, and help direct work for multi-project clients, and multiple clients.Help support strategic initiatives for continued work with key clients and business sectors.Support the work of others and maintain quality control on projects and on administrative tasks.Work independently to perform project tasks, design, calculations, and reporting to meet the project specific requirements.Be a point of contact for clients and maintain a positive relationship with clients.Manage multiple smaller company priorities and projects.Work at landfills, contaminated sites, and/or other sites where heavy equipment, contamination, or other health hazards may exist. Be able to travel for short duration projects if needed.Assist with proposals, including the development of technical plans, schedules, and cost estimates, and preparation with staff and with the client.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to think and act critically and strategically.
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or above in engineering or related environmental fieldProfessional Engineer license or able to acquire within one year of hireExperience - 3 to 10 years minimum in a related fieldSolid waste managementBiogas system designRemediationSite CivilRegulatory experience required; general upper mid-west, specifically Michigan, experience a plusEstablished client relationships are a plusProject management experience a plus, including budgets and invoicingExcellent communications skills, both written and oralSolid organization and time management skillsSelf-disciplined/motivated individual who also works well in a team environmentProficiency with computer usage for document preparation including Word and ExcelWorking knowledge of computer-aided design software; Civil 3D preferred
