  Job Description:

  The scope of the IT GEMS contract includes a full range of information technology (IT) services which include necessary hardware, software, and ancillary, components to support enterprise-level programs and environments. Support service areas include program management support, policy, procedures, and operations support, IT core services support, security compliance, customer and client services support, transformational IT support, and application migration support.

  HOW a Middleware Administrator WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  Leads the Middleware Administration team in providing all aspects of middleware administration, from architecture and design to configuration, tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, installation, patching, upgrades, and deployment of web server applications to various environments using our ITIL-based ITSM4Gov approach.

  Responsible for providing technical expertise and support to other functional teams (Cybersecurity, Projects, Incident, Problem Management, Transformational IT) and the Government in resolving issues, managing projects, and implementing and integrating new middleware products and platforms. Serves as the primary escalation point for failed or non-functioning application deployments in the designated environments and creates and maintains SOPs, TTPs, and KBAs for middleware administration.

  Provides maintenance and sustainment for all existing web server applications, including testing and applying IAVM patches, supporting IA-compliant new server builds, providing deployment support. Monitors website traffic, manages file transfers, allocates memory for websites, and creates new application servers as needed to support evolving requirements. Administers the operation of batch applications and proactively monitors individual middleware components and the overall middleware products to identify potential issues before they affect the system.

  Collaborates with or DR/COOP and Contingency Planning team to develop and implement an effective backup and archive strategy for middleware environments and performs backups, restores, and DR functions, including DR tests, to ensure data integrity and availability. As part of our CSI2 program, analyzes traffic patterns, forecasts potential issues, and collaborates with our Transformational IT team in the planning, testing and implementation of Government-approved initiatives. Produces Issue Forecasting and Recommendations and Reporting Dashboard (Del 62).

  WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  Experience :

  Experience supervising a team of 7 or more team member

  Education :

  5-8 years of experience, BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience

  Required Technical Skills :

  IAT II

  CompTIA Security+ Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent

  Security Clearance Level :

  Active DOD Secret

  Location :

  The likely salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
