Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Directs andmanages the operations of Underwriting Case Management. Responsible forstaffing, development, coaching, communication and salaryadministration. Independently leads and/or participates as a keyresource in complex, cross-departmental projects and initiatives.Resolves operational problems that impact and strengthen internal andexternal customers. Fosters a trust and communication within the workgroups which supports the business process efficiencies. Manages theinvestigation and resolution of complaints pertaining to underwritingrequirements, vendors, administrative processes. Facilitate resolutionof technical underwriting outcomes with technical subject matterexperts. Collaborates with internal partners to track, trend and performroot cause analysis around elevated product or service-related concerns.Leverages data analytics to identify obstacles and continually improveoperations and the field/client experience. Strong understanding of ourbusiness priorities and ability to identify technology that will improveor enhance our network office, home office and client experience. Servesas a liaison between the home office, network offices, and (whenapplicable) vendors to facilitate the implementation and adoption of newprocesses and/or technology. Provides assistance as needed with thevendor service delivery oversight of a portfolio of third-party vendorsincluding paramedical examining companies, laboratories, medical recordretrieval companies, and other providers of underwriting requirementsservices providing Life and DI medical, lay, and financial underwritingrequirements. May oversee and coach vendor/service escalations involvingcommunication and resolution between home office, field and vendorleadership. Serves as communication liaison/resource, providingtechnical problem resolution with field management, agents, companymanagement, other companies and insurance departments regardingunderwriting concerns and issues. You will develop, implement, andmonitor customer service standards for agency-level staff. Knowledge,Skills, & Abilities: Bachelor\'s degree or an equivalent combination ofeducation and progressively responsible work experience.
