About Merchandising Manager, Amazon Fresh Grocery

  We’re looking for an exceptionally motivated and talented Merchandising Manager with strong customer focus, analytical skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit to join the team. You will leverage multiple systems and tools to create detailed plans that directly impact the instore customer experience, and deliver your requirements on time such that those plans become a reality. You will be an advocate for the instore customer and continuously test and innovate to drive ideal outcomes.

  The ideal candidate thrives and delivers results in an ambiguous, fast-paced business environment, operating across multiple teams and levels in the organization. They influence and communicate status, risk(s), and results effectively, and at the leadership level. The ideal candidate will have strong customer experience intuition, business and product sense combined with solid understanding of technical concepts. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

  Travel will be required in this role. Candidates should be comfortable with domestic travel 30-50% of the time.

  Key job responsibilities

  Create, execute, and/or maintain the planograms across multiple categories throughout the year.

  Identify and implement process improvements and opportunities for innovation and simplification in planograms and merchandising processes.

  Coordinate across functional teams, and communicate with internal and external partners, while meeting tight deadlines.

  Act as the ‘business owner’, possessing a thorough understanding of internal and external variables that impact our business.

  *Advocate for the ideal instore customer experience, even when controversial.

  Arlington, VA, USA | New York, NY, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

  Basic Qualifications

  4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

  Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

  Preferred Qualifications

  Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs

  Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $64,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
