Local pay $15-$18 per hour

　　The Behavioral Health Technician cares for individuals withpsychiatric conditions as well as a variety of substance use disorders,following the instructions of physicians, nurses or other health practitioners.The Behavioral Health Technician monitors a patients’ safety, physical andemotional well-being and report directly to medical staff.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

　　Provides personal care and behavioralassistance/interventions to assigned clients

　　Assists clients with grooming, eating/meal preparation, andtoileting

　　Maintains rounding on assigned clients/patients to ensuresafety as directed

　　Assists with ambulation and transfer services

　　Monitors vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure

　　Provides behavioral support services

　　Provides crisis intervention

　　Encourages independence

　　Maintains patient safety

　　Implements behavioral plans

　　Documents care per policies and procedures

　　Participate in rehabilitation and treatment programs

　　Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

　　Minimum Requirements:

　　High School diploma or equivalent required

　　Associate’s degree in behavioral studies or related field,or equivalent experience preferred (or per facility requirements)

　　Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred

　　Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

　　Participation and completion of Maxim's Competency programwhen applicable

　　Current CPR if applicable

　　TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

　　Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

　　Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

　　Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site

　　Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements

　　Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required

　　Computer proficiency required

　　Must be at least 18 years of age
