Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work - As assigned to meet program needs during Camp Operations, Monday-Saturday
Qualifications - Must be currently licensed in NYS as an RN or LPN
Relevant Certifications - n/a
Work Authorization/Security Clearance -Authorized to work in the United States and pass all background clearances.
Summary/Objective - The Medication Coordinator shall be responsible for the administration of medications to specified campers.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday:
Screen camper application and physicals
Complete Medication and Administration Records (MAR) prior to Monday arrival.
Monday:
Receive medications and cross reference to MAR’s. Resolve any discrepancies with new medications, changes, or missing medications.
Place prescribed medications in appropriate next due dose container. Store PRN medications in med. cabinet, administer any afternoon medications.
Prepare dinnertime medications, cross-referencing with MAR, administer and initial.
Prepare bedtime medications, cross-referencing with MAR, administer and initial. Instruct counselors regarding ear drops, eye drops, and/or ointments.
Complete individual camper index cards describing each medication and time/dose. Highlight time by color: AM=yellow, Noon=green, Dinner=pink, Bedtime=Blue, Odd Times=red circle.
Separate cards by next due dose time.
Daily:
Cross reference medication cards with MAR and prepare next medication dose.
Administer and log, place cards in next due dose.
Assess individual camper medications to ensure there are enough for the week.
Ensure counselors are following ear/eye ointment procedures and log.
Ensure necessary first aid supplies are on hand and request necessary supplies from Camp Director.
Keep health lodge and bathroom clean.

Work Environment -This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
