Medicare specialist
Role
You will help our customers navigate the complexity of Medicare and drive new revenue to the firm through the sale of commissionable Medicare insurance plans from reputable partner insurance carriers. You will have exciting engagements with customers on a daily basis and be a key contributor to our business success by uncovering our customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
Fidelity's Healthcare Group has launched a new Medicare business that will provide our customers with tools and advice to help them select and purchase quality Medicare coverage. As an early member of this new and innovative team, you will have the opportunity to help build and grow a business that could impact millions of Americans!
Our Medicare Specialists are licensed health insurance professionals who have a passion for helping people navigate complex decisions. They meet with our customers over the phone to assess their healthcare needs and recommend appropriate Medicare coverage. They are empathetic sales professionals and are key to helping our customers live expertly in retirement and beyond.
The Expertise and Skills We're Looking For
A college degree is preferred but not required.An active Health Insurance License is required.The ideal candidate will have Medicare sales experience, either as a broker or carrier representativeIf you're not already AHIP certified, we'll support you while you complete the AHIP Medicare training and work to acquire appointments with our carriers during your first month of employmentYou have strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping people seek sophisticated problemsYou have an aptitude for sales and a real desire to help people find solutions that are right for themYou are a quick learner with an openness to training and feedbackYou are ambitious and enjoy collaborating with people from different disciplinesYou are a clear communicator with strong presentation skillsTaking phone appointments with our clients and helping them find Medicare coverage that fits their health and financial needsAnswering questions from clients and confirming their eligibility for MedicareExplaining the benefits and features of various Medicare Advantage, Medigap and Prescription Drug PlansDelivering compliant sales presentations that abide with CMS and other applicable regulationsEnrolling clients in products that are appropriate for their personal situationProviding feedback on our new Medicare training curriculum to improve future materials for future hiresPartnering with our team to build and grow a new Fidelity business that could impact millions of Americans!

At Fidelity, our goal is for most people to work flexibly in a way that balances both personal and business needs with time onsite and offsite through what we're calling "Dynamic Working".
