　　Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

　　Responsibilities:

　　Work in concert with the Laboratory QA (Quality Assurance) Coordinator to ensure procedural integrity and section compliance with College of American Pathologist (CAP), American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and The Joint Commission guidelines.

　　Maintain the supply inventory and cleanliness of the assigned section.

　　Perform other laboratory testing, etc. according to the needs of the department or as assigned by the laboratory officer/department head.

　　Perform phlebotomy and prepare patients for testing procedures under the direction of a physician order.

　　Minimum Requirements

　　Degree/Education: Bachelor’s degree. Graduate from a medical technology program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Services (NAACLS), or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or educational program acceptable to the American Medical Technologist (AMT).

　　Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Certification must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.

　　Certification/registration by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or AMT as specified.

　　Experience: Must have 2 years of experience.

　　Citizenship: S. Citizen

　　Credentialing: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Current physical and immunizations.

　　Physical Requirements: You must be on the premises to perform the job. The environment is fast-paced and multi-faceted, with conditions and duties that can change quickly throughout a shift.

　　Compensation

　　$32.25/hour base rate + Health & Wellness stipend
