What you get to do every day

Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage

Tending to client forms

Managing various files and providing general office duties, e.g. data entry, scanning, faxing, etc.

Facilitating the management of patient medical records

Addressing patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries

Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner

Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures

Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations

Responding to inquiries in a detail-oriented and effective manner while efficiently answering phone calls within a minimum number of rings Requirements - 1+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist

1 or more years of experience handling multi-line phone systems

Previous experience working with patient registrar

Adeptness in Medical Chart

General familiarity with Patient Appointments

Earlier work involving Patient Medical Records

Patient Eligibility experience highly preferred

Practical knowledge of Patient Check-in

Good understanding of Patient Payments

Switchboard phone (1-10 lines) experience

Strong familiarity with Patient Registration

Schedule Patient Appointments experience highly desired

Patient Records experience

Solid understanding of Receptionist Duties

Demonstrated knowledge of Outpatient Clinics

Background working with Patient Intake

In this position, you should have experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system, as well as social media platformsComprehension of medical terminology and insurance products

Skills in multi-line phone systems preferred

Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred
