　　A client working with Robert Half in the Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance industry is seeking a charismatic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist. As the director of first impressions, you will be providing customer service both over the phone and in-person in this Medical Receptionist role. For this Medical Receptionist position, we're seeking a self-starter who finds value working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while providing support and solutions to patients, healthcare professionals, insurance providers, etc. This short-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the West Haven, Connecticut area.

　　What you get to do every day

　　Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage

　　Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations

　　Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner

　　Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures

　　Maintaining various files and providing general office duties, e.g. scanning, faxing, data entry, etc.

　　Maintaining phone calls within minimum rings and responding to inquiries in a detail-oriented and effective manner

　　Providing aid in the management of patient medical records

　　Providing administrative assistance to patients

　　Receiving patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries

　　Requirements - Prior experience with multi-line phone systems preferred

　　1 or more years of experience handling multi-line phone systems

　　Candidates should have experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system, as well as social media platformsGeneral grasp of medical terminology

　　Contacting Patients experience

　　Patient Calls experience highly desired

　　Proven knowledge of Patient Check-in

　　Expertise in Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act

　　Strong familiarity with Epic EMR

　　Solid understanding of Basic Medical Terminology

　　1+ year of experience as a Medical Receptionist

　　High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred

　　Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
