CNC Maintenance Apprentice
Description
The CNC Maintenance Apprentice will work directly with Sr. CNC Maintenance technicians in a working and learning environment, performing diagnostic and repair services of machinery and facility needs.
Responsibilities:
Working to CBS' training plan and level tasks to advance skillsPreventative maintenance procedures and functionsEquipment inspection to OEM specificationsIdentify faulty equipment and acquire parts and equipment to complete repairs.Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.Work with contractors and other maintenance personnel if necessary to ensure repairs are made properly and with minimum impact on operations.Communicating accurately, concisely, and professionallyTracks and logs repair work and completed work orders.Cleans and maintains work areas and shop equipment.Adhere to Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements.Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Proper safety precautions, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), must be followed as dictated by the job and work environment.

Monday - Friday 7:00pm to 5:30am

Ability to learn quickly and absorb training proceduresAttitude and work ethic to excel in a shop floor environmentWork with a sense of urgency to machine down conditions.Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions, technical documents, and troubleshooting guidesMust be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriateAbility to work unsupervisedReading, writing and general math skillsAbility to multitask job duties effectively and efficientlyAbility to work overtime, including weekends as needed
