This short-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the North Haven, Connecticut area. 　　Responsibilities

　　Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage

　　Answering telephone calls in a detail-oriented and effective manner within minimum rings

　　Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner

　　Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures

　　Welcoming patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries

　　Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations

　　Providing support in the management of patient medical records

　　Supporting patients with client forms

　　Organizing various files and providing general office duties, e.g. faxing, data entry, scanning, etc.

　　Requirements - Excellent phone etiquette and ability to establish rapport with diverse clientele

　　General understanding of medical terminology

　　Proficiency with multi-line phone systems required

　　This role requires you to have experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record systemHigh School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred

　　Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment

　　1+ year of experience as a Medical Receptionist

　　Command of Epic EMR

　　Comprehensive knowledge of Patient Calls
